3.8.0 - 2024.06.06

Removed unused sound, netronome, mellanox and marvell hardware drivers to reduce core size.

Fixes

  • do not include pre-generated SSH host keys in a core but generate them on first startup for a system and make them persistent

  • disable MQTT metrics output by default since telegraf crashes if it can't connect to the broker which might not be installed

3.7.0 - 2023.09.08

Adds support for new module specification (v3) which supports migration scripts and a fallback in case the upgrade went wrong.

3.3.3-vm - 2023.01.11

This release requests and checks licenses for the official BITMOTECO modules. Each installed module needs a valid license or it will be stopped and disabled. Renamed all occurrences from "node" to "system".

Thus all MQTT topics and InfluxDB buckets need to be renamed in order to stay functional.

Support for core overlay persistence was removed. Thus as changes to files and folders within the root filesystem, that a not mapped to the persistent storage, are lost on system shutdowns/restarts.

From this release onwards, a check if filesystem on the device storage partition and the partition size can be grown to the full extend of the provided storage space is run on every boot. Additionally a hook was added to enable automatic BITMOTECO module installation after the first startup.
